This is a collaboration with we finished almost a year ago, but I never came around to upload it to my gallery. It was fun working on this one. *rockerdish created the creepy block with the guy tied to it and asked me to provide a background for this work. We then passed the psd back and forth until he came up with the result you see here.
He also wrote a huge tutorial on how to create this work with all techniques explained in detail. You can find it here: [link] or here: [link]
Since nobody has done a critique, I guess I'll be the first
This piece instantly comes across as meaningful. We see the man tied into the block, as well as the occasional angel-like figures. The limited palette and color choice serve to create a darker tone and mood that accompanies the powerful subject matter.
The clouds and mayhem going on in the background are detailed enough so that they help to project their presence, yet precisely balanced so that they aren't too detailed and detract from the focus.
I absolutely love the technique and execution. Everything is done with pinpoint precision.

This is overall a very well-done work. Good job!
