Just a quick work to show that I'm still alive. I'm sorry for the inactivity lately (in case anyone cared). I started working on my master thesis this fall and it really takes all of my time right now.

Some of you may have seen the shuttle in a wallpaper of this year's desktopography release: [link]
The link says the artist is "unknown", but it was actually ~robinsonkrusoe who asked me to create a rescue shuttle for his space background. This version is my own with a pointer to the credits below.

Hmm I'm not sure how well this image reads Erik! Squint and look at the picture really small.. the satellite really gets lost. Maybe lightening up the area behind the satellite with some atmospheric fog would bring it out more because it would be kind of silhouetted against the fog. Also the brightest points of the sky are around the edges of the canvas - i think composition-wise that's not the best decision because it leads the eyes out of the canvas. One last, picky thing would be to reduce the saturation and contrast of everything behind the satellite slightly - to show that everything else is further away, and to make the eye instantly settle on the satellite.
Hope you are well my friend :) add me on facebook if you have it!

yea you're right about that. It's certainly not my best work and it only took me like an hour to compose it! Thanks for the tips!

ganz grob gesagt Neutrino-Oszillation.
