I don't know what to say about this other than it's just beautiful. You have a very vivid imagination.

I wish someone could teach me matte painting and proper photo manipulation :d. So hard to find good tutorials on how to do things, and experimenting isn't very efficient to learn quickly haha. Anyway, this is beautiful. I kind of want to do something like this, but I'm not too sure how I would go about it. I want an island in the sky similar to this. It's actually a photomanipulation based of an anime place. But I'm not too sure how to make things seem so real like your stuff. This is just amazing, dreamlike :). Well done :D

I learned everything by trial and error myself. It's indeed really tedious if you're impatient and want to see nice results quickly, but then again matte painting might not be the best art genre for you because it usually takes a lot of time to do. :D
To be honest, no matter how good you are with photoshop, to make things look real is the most difficult aspect to achieve in a matte painting. You only learn that with experience and extensive studies of light and colors in natural environments.
Thank you for your comment and the nice compliment!

Ooh cool :D. Yeah it is tedious. I know that I need LOTS more practice and that nice results don't come quickly, especially for paintings haha. The thing is that with photomanipulation, you can only do so much to the photo. Whereas in a matte painting you can create your own scene more or less, and thats the part which I love the most. I guess it's a long road for me to learn all the "light and colors in natural environments" :D.
You're welcome about the compliment, it is well deserved :).
Have a nice day :D.

yea, well it does depend on the matte painting technique and the material. It's not really a "painting" in the traditional sense. I for one use photos for my matte 'paintings' most of the time. :)
Hope you're having a great day as well :D

True, however I think it gives lots more freedom over photo-manipulating everything. Some parts you can actually properly paint and use textures (I don't know how people use textures though, I'm guessing a painted layer with a clipping mask and layer style or something).
With pure photo-manipulation, I feel as though I am restricted by the photos used if you know what I mean :d. Maybe I'm not good enough at photo-manipulating haha.
Have another great day haha :D. Can't wait to see what you upload next since I'm +watching you now. (That always sounds weird no matter how I put it, or how many times I say it lol xd).
