This is a ridiculously awesome scene. I remember staring at it for quite some time when you first uploaded it. So much eye candy to look at. The atmosphere has this trippy green tone to it... making the view really unique and enjoyable.
My favorite parts have to be the mushrooms and the water. Gorgeously done with very precise detail and crisp lighting, the shadow from the largest mushroom really sets this piece together for me, as well as the background terrain. The clouds have an eeire but beautiful green mist to their atmosphere. The color would normally be light grey or blue.. but there are exceptions for amazing fairytale scenes like this.
I'm finding it hard to write any constructive critisizm, perhaps the top of the mountains in the background have a bit too much blur on the top (directly under the right side of the large mushroom, to the right a bit), seems they would look better if those spots were sharper. This is very minor though, I just didnt want to write a whole critique without giving at least some advice, and of course this is just my eye's opinion There is enough awesome in this gem to make everything worth looking at. I admire your creativity and originality man, this is an insanely golden piece that has been added to your collection.
The impact was strong..like at the previous work. He did an awesome work, combining all this things that we're used to see in a fairy tail : like big mushrooms ,beautiful landscapes, dream like clouds. i'm not a professional in photomanipulation, telling the truth i never made one, but i admire PM works . This time i have some objections: 1.The Gigantic indicator makes the mushroom seem not soo tall like kire wanted to make them. 2.Also i think the flowers should be smaller..i don't know why..may be it would look more fantastic 3.if the mushrooms would grow up from a forest..and the trees would be way smaller than them..it would create the feeling of a fortress of pixies or fairies
I should try to say something more constructive. The vivid colours is what makes it fairy tale-like (or psychadelic) but is at the same time what makes it unreal (more so than the giant mushrooms in fact!). The greenish shadow under de largest mushroom is great. It I were you I would find another stock for the water. Unless you want this specific look. It looks to flat and painted though it may not be. It looks kind of like household plastic, the opaque plastic film you wrap food with, don't know what it's called in english. Other than that a great cosy picture, I can envision a vacation on that island...
thanks for the critique, it's really appreciated! I can see what you're talking about with the water. Maybe I'll give it a shot one day and update this piece. There are a couple of other things I'd like to improve as well.
