This is a fairly quick nebula doodle I'm actually quite happy with because I like how depth and colors turned out here. I'm really feeling like being almost inside the nebula when I look at the picture. I must thank =GlennClovis for his amazing brush set, they were very helpful for the detailing.
Really impressive work, have checked your entire gallery. What kind of brush set do you use? I read that you used GlenClovis's brush set for the detailing. Personally I can't seem to make my drawings look like this, probably because I'm just using the basic chalk and airbrush.
for this I used all kinds of brushes, but to be honest I'm not the best painter. I mostly use photos, and custom brushes are very useful for quick and detailed drawings. I can recommend this brushset: [link]
Ah! I appreciate your kindness sir! I've always used the basic brushes, mostly chalk and airbrush, both are used for shaping, coloring etc. I will definitely be trying these brushes out!
hehe tell me about it. Since I've started working on my master thesis I haven't had time or motivation to create any new art pieces at all- but it's fun and I'm slowly making progress, although it's frustrating at times. And how do you like your artschool? You're doing a lot of painting now, right?
Mine is completely wacky though compared- I always try to do something a bit different than the tech look... Its a Zapotec warrior helmet, mozaic tile coloring with patterns, african impala horns, and fangs
I'm glad you're having fun then!!! Master thesis sounds incredibly hard just by the title haha. Artschool is great right now... I live with two other artists in my school, its warm here in winter, literally couldn't be going better... Yea we are leaning painting, but also drawing, how to have perfect perspective without using grids... takes a while, but im getting there. You basically practice tons of exercises on plotting perspective out, really technically. after doing it for so long, you eventual can recognize without having to do construction. Overall its been a blast but some classes have been a bore... nothing has been useless, which I am really glad for. Right now we're building lifesize helmets- here are some results from previous terms: [link] [link]
other than that we explore more fundamentals this term, next term is when the real fun starts though... Whatcha lookin forward to this year?
